Meet Dr. Carmel Gleis
Dr. Carmel Gleis is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky for undergraduate studies. She then went on to the University of Louisville dental school and graduated in 2009. She practiced in Louisville with her father for 6 years as a general dentist before deciding that she loved root canals and wanted to specialize in the field of endodontics. She found herself back at ULSD for an Endodontic residency from 2015-2017 where she earned her Certificate in Endodontics and a Masters of Science in Dentistry.
Dr. Gleis has joined Dr. Christopher Cook at Louisville Endodontics, and together they have opened Core Endodontics in New Albany, Indiana. Having two offices, one in Louisville and one in Southern Indiana, makes them unique and allows them to serve the entire area in a timely, compassionate, and convenient manner.
Dr. Gleis is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Kentucky Dental Association (KDA), the Louisville Dental Society (LDS), he Southern Indiana Dental Association (SIDA), and the Kentucky Association of Women Dentists (KAWD). She currently serves as an alternate delegate to the KDA’s executive committee, and has always been involved in the very important aspects of “organized dentistry”.
Dr. Gleis is married to Eric, and they have three busy children, Mary Quin, Hank, and Caroline. She enjoys spending time with her husband, and watching her kids get more involved in their sports and extra activities.
